BiggyRich's News

Posted by BiggyRich - October 28th, 2014

This project involved the creation of Halo related art using Inkscape and Anime Studio Pro. I started the collection as I had an old Master Chief character which I had used a couple of years ago and wanted to see how it could be implemented into newer versions of the software.

The project took a while but it was really fun to work on and I learned a lot. Feedback is always very much appreciated (preferably constructive). The Vectors and Anime files are available for free download (no sign up or garbage like that) from my blog for review and critique.

If you take a look at the models and/or vectors let me know if there's anything I can do to improve my techniques.

Conversley if you want to know how I achieved something just let me know and I'll be happy to share!

The movie below breifly showcases some of the elements created:

Hello all,

Found this vehicle kicking about in my old project work. Would be good for a background battle element or foreground short screen short tank maybe.

Basically its a futuristic tank with engine and gun nothing super fancy.

Download is available from my blog:

Anyways let me know if you have any comments regarding the cruiser.

much love Rich

Finally finished!

Big Daddy is here finally. I did end up doing smart bone action for the hand rather than switch layer.

Anime studio File Free Download is available from: http://biggyrichanimestudio.blogspot.co.uk/

Drill action is linked to smart bone and a switch layer for the head lights. I have included a walk cycle which I think works well.

Background is not included in the main file but I will add as a separate download if requested. Let me know how you get on with it.

As always feedback is welcome.

On to the next project!

Hi All,

I'm in the process of making a Big daddy character from Bioshock. So far I've got the legs looking fairly good (see screen grab).

I did suffer a small set back of animating on the mainline rather than in a smart bone action, idiot. Not sure if there is any way to copy across? If anyone knows please comment and share.

The Vector work is going well though, hopefully he'll be finished and rigged with styles, Smartbone actions, labelled bones, bone constraints, etc, etc within the next few days (or that's the plan).

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated, I am using vector layers within groups within the overall bone group which will probably affect reverse compatibility (is this good practice?). I am still using Anime Studio 9.5

The Final Character Will be uploaded for download from my blog:
